This is one of my favourite nourishing evening smoothies for nights when you finish training late, feel exhausted after work or simply cannot face cooking, but still want to support your body properly.

I created this recipe using Mitchell’s Nutrition Digest Soothe Tea alongside simple functional ingredients that help support recovery, digestion, blood sugar balance and sleep in a realistic and sustainable way.

Mitchells Late Night Recovery Smoothie

Ingredients

• 1½ tsp Mitchell’s Nutrition Digest Soothe Tea
• 220ml boiling water
• Mitchell’s Vanilla Protein - 30g protein
• ½ frozen banana
• 1 cup frozen dark cherries
• 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
• 8 raw almonds
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• Small slice fresh ginger
• Ice (optional)

Optional add in: Mitchell’s Collagen

Method

  • Add the Digest Soothe tea leaves to a cup and pour over the boiling water. Allow to brew and cool slightly.

  • Add the brewed tea, including the tea leaves, to a high speed blender with the banana, cherries, pumpkin seeds, almonds, cinnamon, ginger and ice. Blend until smooth.

  • Add the protein powder (and ice, collagen if using) and blend again for 10 seconds until creamy and combined.
